We called some good friends and invited them to come play games with us on New Year's Day. Blake's birthday was in a few days, so we made some pumpkin pie brownies (one of our favorites) and had planned to play games while our kids watched a movie. That plan did NOT work out. We grabbed out Doug's Christmas present, Ticket to Ride and played a total of 15 minutes in an hour and decided to call it quits. We realized that we would need to have a sleepover party in order to play games together.
Sydney had pulled at her pigtails (like she does everyday) and was not happy during our game.
Sydney stood by me and Ethan sat by Doug in our attempt to cheer them with the dessert. That didn't work either. We had to take a photo just to document our attempt and laugh.
