Chad has been working around the clock. Carpet installation was supposed to happen Thursday, but they said they could get it installed in one day--so they're coming Friday. Appliances arrive Friday. Chad is staying late getting the house ready for us to move in. It will not be completely ready as the doors, sidelights, and window (where we found the mold) are ordered and not arriving until late December. We are holding off installing the carpet in that room so we don't have to clean up the mess later. We also are leaving the master bathroom unfinished until we know what our annual taxes look like in a few months. So, we're living with some unfinished space.
Our lighting is in and it makes such a big difference! Doug took this photo at the house at 10 pm trying to make a decision on how low the pendants should hang.
I've been working to remove the ice from the driveway (it was about 2 inches thick) and salt just wasn't helping. When the carpet install guys were here today, they handed me a carpet pad scraper and told me to try it out. The driveway was clear in a matter of 5 minutes! I'm going to need one of these.
