Preschool Graduation

Ethan and Sydney attended Puddle Jumpers preschool for a few months this year.  They LOVED their teacher, Ms Jennifer, and looked forward to school everyday.  They learned a lot about their letters, learned new songs, and developed some serious scissor skills.  :-)

They graduated today.  There was a brief program and it was adorable.  They sang a song that went something like, "a too dee ta, a too dee ta, a too dee ta ta" and had to add an action every chorus.  I think Ethan was the only kid up there that did all the actions (they were supposed to be added upon every time) and Doug and I were laughing so hard.  He had his elbows out, tongue out, bum out, eyes shut, and so on while singing.  Cute kid.

Afterwards, we had a snap a photo with Ms Jennifer.  Such a sweet lady and inspiring.  She told me (at the fire station field trip) that her first husband was in the military and committed suicide after struggling in silence (as far as the military went, but she tried to help him).  She now is an advocate and meets with other military women who are now widows.

Ethan and Sydney were so excited to show us all the things they had been working on.

Doug convinced me that we should take them to Baskin Robbins for an ice cream cone to celebrate.  (Um…ice cream is expensive!  All the people who tell me that it's expensive to eat healthy…I'm not so sure.)  They loved it and I did some deep breathing while they licked down the sugar.  :-)
