I read an article online about a tree not too far from our house that many call the "tree of life" from the Book of Mormon. It was HUGE and stunning lit up with thousands of lights. The kids were more excited about the hill just next to the tree.
The city also decorated other trees and some lampposts like candy canes.
We've also had season passes to the local zoo and took the kids to see Zoo Lights and had a great time dancing and playing with the kids.
