Homeowners!

Yes, we have closed on this home.  Wish it were ready for us to move in…but it's not.  At all. There are some issues that we're aware of and some we're sure we aren't aware of.

Mold in basement bathroom from unknown cause--will gut the entire thing and start from scratch
Water damage in main basement living room area
Seal broken on window in family room
Hole in sheetrock in kids upstairs bedroom
Master bath will need to be redone (tile is all cracked) but it will be later when we have the budget
All new carpet
All new paint
Removing tile and install hardwood floors on main level
Garage door won't open--not sure if it will need to be replaced

It is VERY dirty.  It has been a rental with tenants for a few years and we hear (from the neighbor) that there were 4 families living in it.  There is animal poop on the carpet from an unknown animal.  We're going to need pest control.  Nasty.  The yard is a disaster as well.  We've been cleaning that up and trimming back overgrown trees bushes before closing.  We're excited to make it our own.  Here's to the start of our adventure!
