Back to our small crowd

We were sad to see the Marchant family leave today. Most nights this week, after putting Ethan and Sydney to bed, I have called Doug's phone from mine and used them as an extended baby monitor so we could go chat with the Marchants just 50 yards or so from our house.

We woke up early today for General Conference at 6 am.  Our kids drink so much here that they often leak out of their diapers at night, even if we put them in a bigger diaper.  This morning we only had clean pajama pants for Sydney. This happens a lot here. We put Sydney in Ethan's PJs and Ethan will sleep in Sydney's sheets. They don't care and we don't either.

We ran to Kahuku for an x-ray on my knee. We were told there would be almost no wait at the hospital and boy, they were right.  I was the only person there for an x-ray. We hurried back to spend time with the Marchants while they packed up.

Adam and Meggin joined us with Greg and Susan and their kids for the U of U football game (loss, bummer) in our small place around our even smaller TV. We were glad they would join us. We remembered to grab a photo with them after our kids woke up from their nap and we hadn't gotten them dressed yet. Doesn't the clothes line in the photo just add the 'naked baby' ghetto-ness?

We miss them already and so does the island. It has been raining constantly, while it was sunny everyday of their stay. With the Marchant's departure, we inherited many fun toys and lots of yummy food. Ethan and Sydney particularly love the beach balls. We can't wait to fly a kite with them for the first time.
