With our temporary dental insurance, we took Ethan and Sydney for teeth cleaning and x-rays. Seeing as they both have chipped teeth, we thought it might be good to see how they're doing. Ethan ended up having TWO cavities! I was so disappointed. They eat almost no sugar, but they were behind his two front teeth. He had a pretty substantial overbite, so food must get 'stuck' back there easily and I hadn't made an effort to brush behind those teeth...until now. They were small enough that the doctor was able to drill and fill them with just 'laughing gas'. Ethan did fantastic.
He laid there with the 'elephant' nose on his face that weighed quite a bit for his tiny head. He watched Cars 2 on the ceiling and was agreeable the entire time with only one exception. He grew tired of the clamp keeping his mouth open for nearly 10 minutes and started to wiggle. That's it. What a trooper.
We are now focused on brushing better to make sure this doesn't happen again! :-) Wish he didn't have my genes in this department. I have double-digit cavities and have lost count at this point. Yikes. It's greatly improved in the last 10 years, but I have to eat very little breads and no sugars to keep them away.

No binkis should help with not having front tooth cavities. I think your idea to give them away was creative. My granddaughter is giving her's away to Santa this Saturday in exchange for a gift.
Heather, at least you haven't hit triple digits...I think I may be there by now. If I haven't, I am definitely close!
