Both Ethan and Sydney gained 30 grams--bringing Sydney to 2040 and Ethan to 2130 grams each. This is Sydney at 4 lb 8 oz, Ethan 4 lbs 11 oz (with his cast).
We had two good feedings! 1 pm feeding we weighed Ethan, just for fun and he gained 4 cc with his feeding! That was great news. Sydney was more alert today and appeared to have gained as well at the 10 pm feeding (hence the late night post).
They seemed more alert at feeding times today. Ethan was fussy and nearly crying (they don't cry much at all--the nurses tell me that it will change as they gain more weight) when we arrived for both the 1 pm and 10 pm feedings. Sydney was at least coherent. That's more than we've gotten from her in over a week. She seems to be on the up-swing from the virus she's been fighting.

Whoo hoo! 4 1/2 pounds is great! Before you know it, they will be over 5 lbs. I keep hoping that those nutritive feedings go well so they can go home soon! Love you. Sarah
WOW! I am so happy to see some pudgey checks emerging! I would like my busy wednesday to be over with so i can come visit. As always, sending lots of love.
