Today was another good day in the Special Care. Our favorite doctor was on staff, one of our favorite nurses cared for the babies tonight, and both babies had a great 7 pm feeding. Ethan took in 20 cc and Sydney 4 cc this morning and 8 cc tonight. Hopefully she likes the 'double or nothing' for a few more feeds!
Their feeds are 48 and 45 cc each, and they'll need to get 75% of their feeding for 3 consecutive days before we move to the next level in feedings and take on more than 2 feedings per day. Sydney gained 20 grams to 2280 and is just over 5 lbs. Ethan gained 68 grams to 2418 or 5 lb 5 oz.
Ethan's cast is pretty fun to decorate. I decided to give him some subliminal messages on his casts. This will be the first of 5.
